Refining Results with AI

Use AI to refine search strings and pre-populate AI search filters.

In addition to running a AI search as seen here, and focusing and re-running results to additional patent documents as seen here, there is an additional tool to help incorporate Quartets AI into patent searching. 

Refine results with AI is accessed from the timeline, and works in a similar manner to the AI search filters located within the AI search modal. To accesses Refine results, simply click on the three dot options menu in the timeline. From here, select " Refine results with AI".

This button will bring up the AI search modal, with a search filter pre-filled to the line chosen to Refine results. 

From here, enter the desired AI query, select the maximum number of results, and Run search.

While the same tips and best practices for writing an AI query still apply, if the query being refined is used to limit the background or scope of the field being searched, try a more direct AI query directed at the specific features that should be searched.
